Better predict corrosion in concrete with wireless sensors.

Together with Senscorr, Bjond has developed a remote monitoring system for concrete structures. This is a further development of a monitoring system from the oil and gas industry. In addition to measuring the corrosion rate very accurately, data is obtained about the quality of the concrete, repairs made and the functionality of a coating, if applied. With the system, we as materials experts can make well-founded management plans together with the owner / manager of a structure. Because data is continuously generated, costs can be saved and maintenance can be carried out “just in time”.

Compare it to a car that's full of sensors and indicates when which maintenance is required. We are not that far yet, but this is already a big step in that direction.
